Can I Vote?

The only time you cannot vote in California when you have a felony conviction is if:

  • You are currently serving a state or federal prison sentence OR
  • You are currently on parole.

Your right to vote is automatically restored once you are released from prison and finish parole. You just need to register to vote.

A misdemeanor NEVER affects your right to vote.
