Get the facts about whether you can vote.
Can I Vote?
The only time you cannot vote in California when you have a felony conviction is if:
- You are currently serving a state prison sentence OR
- You are currently serving a term in county jail under Realignment OR
- You are currently on parole.
Your right to vote is automatically restored once you complete your sentence. You just need to register to vote.
A misdemeanor NEVER affects your right to vote.
